Meet Nick

I started raising cattle because I’ve always appreciated a great steak, and I was frustrated by beef labels that sounded clear but didn’t always tell the whole story. At first, I raised just enough cattle to feed my family. That changed when a couple of vegetarian friends—who still had a love for good beef—wanted a farm-fresh source they could trust instead of grocery store meat. I began raising a little extra for them, and things snowballed from there. What started as a way to feed my own family grew into High Prairie Ranch.
